<p>I am interested in Quant Finance and Finance and tried to use the speciality ranks from bloomberg. I have been accepted to Fordham, Penn State and RPI. While in the overall ranks Penn State looks better for 2012, Fordham has reasonable rankings in both Quant and Finance and RPI has top ranking in Quant Finance. When I look at 2011, RPI is at the top. Can I use these rankings to zero in on my choice? Please advise.</p>
<p>If you are truly interested in quant finance, major in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or Industrial Engineering at Penn State or RPI. Try to take classes that focus on operations research and optimization.</p>
<p>You can always go to business school to obtain an MBA in the future. An science/engineering degree will come a lot more in handy.</p>
