Blue Book Question (Math)

pg 599 # 18

In the figure above, ABCD is a rectangle. Points A and C lie on the graph of y= px^3, where p is a constant. If the area of ABCD is 4, what is the value of p.

For those of you who don't have a book to reference. The points are as follow-

A (-1/2, -2)
B (-1/2, 2)
C (1/2,2)
D (1/2,-2)

looking at the x-coordinates of the points, you can tell that the base of the rectangle ABCD is length 1

we are told the area of ABCD is 4

therefore the height is 4, and extends 2 in the positive y direction and 2 in the negative y direction

so c in point C = 2

we are told y = px^3 and C is on it
