Bluetooth Keyboard vs Keyboard Port

Which is more useful? I’m getting an iPad but I don’t know what keyboard to buy. I know I’ll use it in class to take notes, and the kid next to me has a bluetooth keyboard. What are the differences?

http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC184LL/A?fnode=MTc0MjU4OTY&mco=MTcyMTgxODY

The bluetooth keyboard is wireless (of course), so it’ll need batteries (and then new batteries).

The keyboard dock holds the iPad in one place and transforms it into more of a laptop. It doesn’t require batteries because it uses the iPad’s power.

Personally, I would choose the keyboard dock because it’s more convenient when taking notes. Think about it, if you use the bluetooth keyboard you need to place your iPad and keyboard flat somewhere. Idk how large your tables are but it might be hard to type, look at the teacher/powerpoint/presentation, and look at the iPad at the same time. You’ll be juggling 2 things while trying to pay attention.
With the keyboard dock you can pay attention while looking at the iPad. Convenient. I dunno… my opinion.

One advantage of the Bluetooth model is that you can use it with other devices.

Thanks. I’m getting the bluetooth.
