BME degree with marketing or engineering?

I’ll be starting college this fall in BME. However, I’m still wondering about what would be the best career plan afterwards. I’m trying to decide between going into a purely engineering field, such as research at a university or working for a company, or doing marketing for a BME company. I feel like the latter option would have a greater yield in money or possibilities, but I’m not entirely sure. Additionally, if I did go into marketing, would it be better for me to get a BS in BME then an MBA or do I need to have both an MS BME and MBA to find a successful job? Or should I do something else entirely?

I don’t really have any preference; either one sounds like it would be enjoyable (but if someone knows something that I don’t, feel free to tell me). So right now I’m mostly looking for how to have the best opportunity to get a job and make the most money in those fields.

I think that you will find out what your preference will be once you step foot in college and test the waters…

Well I’m not really concerned with my preference right now. I mean, obviously, if I while in college, I realize that I would definitely like to do one or the other (or even neither), then I can adjust my plans accordingly. Right now, though, I just need to know which bme related job would be the most profitable and which combination of degrees would I need to be successful in them.
