Once a person receives their BS or MS, the individual would proceed to graduate school? How long is BME graduate school? Does anyone have any information or links where I could learn more about issue?

Depends what you want to do. If you want a PHD, or just Masters degree. It can take 2-3 years or as many as 10-15, depends on your pace.

5 years is typical. 6-7 years if you do anything involving wet biology. Also longer if you do a program that requires more courses. BME PhD is by no means necessary unless you want to be in academia or do high level industry research. Most schools have an undergraduate BME or BE society that you could join (even if your major is not BME/BE) to learn about this stuff.
