Headed to a boarding school fair today. There will be 4 schools DD will apply to at the fair. She is visiting 3 for tours and interviews in person. The other school we have a virtual interview scheduled. All four schools are more selective than others she is applying to.
What are some tips and tricks for the boarding school fairs?
Should she bring a “resume” and share it with the admissions officers?
I would suggest your daughter take the lead and introduce herself and you to each of the reps. She should let them know that she is applying and reference her visit date and interview. They will either jot it down or make a note after she walks away.
Hopefully they all don’t have tables next to each other
Helpful to also have a question ready to ask and something she already knows about the school that she is looking forward to doing or learning more about.
Lastly, make sure she remembers the name of the rep she spoke with at the fair and she can reference that during her visit and/or interview. Enjoy the fair.
