Boarding schools that give scholarships and dont require SSAT score

Hi,
I was just wondering if there are any High schools (boarding) in the USA that don’t require a SSAT scores and offer scholarships or financial aid. My daughter did really good on MAP testing; 92%-tile to 99%-tile, But she didn’t get a good score for the SSAT. She’s currently in 8th grade so she can’t do it next year either.

Last I checked, there are many boarding schools that offer tuition discounts even without scores. You would have to go one-by-one and look each one up unless someone knows an easier way. May I assume she gets near-perfect grades?

George ¶ has been TO for many years and is also generous with FA. Agree that you should look at the websites of schools that interest you to see their policies.

yes she has an average of a 3.9-4.0 Gpa

she is going to be an international student though.
these are some of the schools we ibecause they don’t require SSAT.

  • Groton school
  • Lawrenceville New jersey
  • Tabor (
  • The hill school
  • Berkshire School
  • Saint Andrew’s School
  • The Peddie School
  • Cheshire academy
  • Loomis Chaffee
  • Putney School

adding Mercersburg to the list of excellent merit available!! (Also generous with FA).

Emma Willard also does not require SSAT. It’s also very generous with Financial Aid and applying is free.

Look at Williston-Northampton, they offer merit aid and do not require SSAT.

Peddie requires the SSAT (or the ISEE)

NMH is TO

Hill requires Ssat

Just do your homework as to whether the schools will provide FA at the level you need for international students. Many schools give 100% FA and FA to international students but not 100% FA to international students.

NMH is a very hard school to get into right? We were considering it but after her scores came out we decided not to.

are there any other schools? I’ve looked around the websites and a lot of the schools are unclear.

St. Andrew’s, Hill, and Peddie all require standardized testing. They also all have high average SSAT scores for admitted kids, around 75-80th percentile.

these schools also don’t require standardized testing, if you want to look into them:

  • Webb Schools (CA)
  • Milton Academy (MA)
  • Suffield Academy (CT)
  • Kent School (CT)
  • St. George’s School (RI)

Sure, but every school you listed is hard to get into.

my list now is:

  • Tabor
  • Berkshire School
  • Cheshire academy
  • Putney School
  • Mercersburg
  • Williston-Northampton
  • George School
  • Suffield Academy

kent requires SSAT
and webb doesn’t give much financial aid’
but thanks

The Millbrook School is test optional; however it doesn’t have a huge financial aid budget.
