Boarding Schools with Summer Sessions

I would like to attend a boarding school with a summer session, but all of the ones I have seen require teacher recommendations. Are there any that are academically challenging that do not require recs? It was like pulling teeth to get my teachers to send in their normal school year recs on time, so I don’t want to have to go through that process again.

If you are applying to the Summer Session at the same boarding school to which you applied for “regular school year”, their Summer Session admissions people can get your teacher recs from their regular school year admissions people.

None of the schools to which I applied offer summer programs, thanks though.

Thank you, Melissa, for your grammar. It’s a breath of fresh air!

what does bump10char mean?

Bump: to move a thread up the list so as to get more responses.

10 char: 10 characters. Every post on this board must have a minimum of 10 characters.

Melissa, sorry that I don’t have information on your question. Perhaps your teachers kept copies of the recommendations that they wrote, and you might be able to use those for summer session? Good luck with your search.

Neatoburrito: As for the proper grammar, your right ;)

Brooklyn: You mean “you’re right.” Sorry, couldn’t resist. It was too funny to pass up!

The Salisbury Summer School of Reading and English is one of the oldest and most respected summer programs…
