Boatwright Scholar vs. Echols and University Achievement Scholar at UVA

Ventura, they are two completely different schools. A small, liberal arts school versus a large public institution. Both are great schools. It really depends on what you’re looking for.

UVA has a better “brand,” but I would argue that UR has several advantages. First, you have small class sizes, allowing for more personal interaction not only with your professors but also your classmates. Second, UR takes care of its scholars pretty well. You’ll be at the front of the line for everything. Third, given the fact that you “like” everything, a liberal arts education sounds ideal, especially if your initial thought is to go pre-med. UR has a solid program. Over the last 5 years, students have gone on to study at 13 of the top 25 grad schools in the country.
