<p>Boeing recently issued its list of requirements to the dozen or so states whom seek to have the aircraft manufacture place the huge 777x project in their state, bringing thousands of jobs with it.</p>
<p>Essentially, Boeing is insisting on free land or heavily discounted land, a substantial waiver of business and other taxes, etc.</p>
<p>Is this the future? Cash-starved localities and states giving huge cash incentives to attract business. States have long had tax incentives, but the Boeing request may be unprecedented.</p>
