<p>If you bomb an exam and it brings you down a letter grade, is it inappropriate to call up the admissions offices and tell them why exactly you went down a letter in a class?</p>
<p>NO! Do NOT tell them that! If you do, they’ll think you’re a whiner. They may even pull the plug on you.</p>
<p>Why would it possibly look good that you “*only *got a(n) X because you bombed an exam”? Especially when most of your college grade will be determined by papers and…exams!</p>
