<p>I understand there are tons of book award threads, but i could not find one suiting my question. </p>
<p>I was recently nominated for a book award at my school so i did some research. I’ve found that though this award is a nice pat on the back, it means hardly anything for your future.</p>
<p>On the other hand, my mother can remember my older sister’s friends getting an award that she believed was a book award as well. However, there book award from 8 years ago was accompanied with letters explaining that massive(sometimes full ride) scholarships would be waiting for them should they apply to that school.</p>
<p>Does anybody know of anything like this or could help clarify this?</p>
