I have a grade in the high B/low A range so I really need a book that would provide extra AP test-like q’s. Our school uses Campbell’s Bio 7th Ed. (like most others) and I have the SparkNotes AP Bio book, which is helpful, but doesn’t give enough practice q’s for me.

AP USH - would like some books with AP-quality q’s in it … already have AMSCO & 5 Steps to 5 (brother used both).

Campbell actually sells two different guides for Biology that may help your grade.

Preparing for the Biology AP Exam (0-8053-7187-7)
This summarizes the chapters, has practice quizzes for every chapter, and 2 full length practice AP Bio exams.

Student Study Guide for Biology (0-8053-7155-9)
This has chapter summaries, concept maps, word roots, chapter tests, and many other helpful things to boost your grade in class.

The last thing I would recommend would be the Cliffs AP review book. Because of this review book I take little to no notes at all in class (reading before the scheduled lecture) and can really soak things in. [Not to mention its nice not to have to copy down things]. It is pretty in depth and also helps a lot with the labs. This can be found at your local bookstore or online (for free). Search this site…there is a link where you can find it in PDF format if you can stand to read on the computer…I don’t know about the legality of this said PDF but it is from the website of a teacher.

Oh, I mean I have the CliffNotes AP Bio book, not SparkNotes!! Haha. Thank you for your two suggestions tilgaham - my teacher photocopies each of the chapter summaries from Book N. 2 you mentioned, so I think I might buy Book N. 1

Also…Correct me if I am wrong but I do believe The College Board sells past year’s AP tests. If you are willing to pay the $ there is no better way to prepare yourself.

I wasn’t aware of that but I’m definitely going to look into that!
