Hi All

Has anyone done the Continuing Education course from Austin Community College

ACNT 1003 Accounting/Bookepping services

It is a series of 6-7 courses, including Accounting 1 and 2, financial statment analysis

Taxation forms and Quickbooks

It prepares one for AIPB bookeeping certification

Is this course worthwhile interms of getting entry level accounting position? while I continue to work toward my undergraduate in accounting

what are your views on it?

Thanks

How long does this all take?

76 hours all in total

Is that including the bachelors?

No it does not

I thought it may help in increasing my chances of getting an entry level job internship while I pursue my undergrad

Why would 7 courses add up to that many credit hours?

If you want an internship, have close to a 4.0 GPA in the fall of your junior year, and be extremely nerdy, yet at the same time, not too much of an unsexy weakling. You need to be handsome enough to impress female interviewers, but you can’t be a stubbly rube who looks like he’s still drunk from the night before. It’s a fine line. Also, remove all non-conformist thoughts from your head, and stop smoking pot.
