books

i have read many a book on universities and most tend to glorify, while others seem to try intentionally to find faults to talk about

does anyone know books that give an accurate reflection of the top colleges? which ones did you guys find most useful?

The biggest problem is that universities are constantly changing - particularly the well known ones. Harvard of the current era is different from Harvard of the hippy years which is different from Harvard of the 40s, etc. etc.
That said, “The Chosen” is a good place to start in terms of understanding the history of HYP.

Fiske Guide is useful.

For another perspective, consider: College Unranked: [College Unranked](College Unranked)
