Boosting gpa at another school

I currently have a 2.4 gpa at USC. I’m feeling really burnt out and I don’t think I’m ready to tackle the senior course load. My idea is to withdraw from USC for a year or two and go to a community college so I can earn credits to transfer back to USC. Does my GPA factor in these credits?

What year are you? If you are a Junior (as it seems form your first sentence), then it is unlikely that there are any courses you can take at a Community College which will be transferable back to a 4-year institution.

You need to ask USC about transferring credits, and whether or not those courses will affect your USC GPA.

If you are burned out, a semester or year off from college entirely is probably in order. That will be a better way for you to pull yourself together. You can wait to go back when you are fully rested and ready.
