Does any one have any tips on how to boost a reading score??

Read more books. I read like 8 books this summer and my CR went up 80 points. As for vocab, there’s not really any way to study for it I think. Direct hits is too inefficient and not really effect. Your vocab should correlate to quality of reading you have done over the past few years.

What kinds of books did you read? Something classic or popular?

I was fanatical and kept a vocabulary journal and wrote down any word that I encountered on practice exams that I didn’t know, along with its definition AND several examples of it used in context.

Don’t just write down the word that was in the right answer-- look through the answer choices and even the question stem, and if there are any words in there that you wouldn’t be able to confidently use in a sentence, then you should definitely make an effort to learn it.

[Dictionary, Encyclopedia and Thesaurus - The Free Dictionary](http://thefreedictionary.com) is awesome for finding examples of words in context (scroll down on any definition page to see “References in classic literature”.

To be fair, I read (past and present tense) a lot, but I do think writing down the example sentences of the words helped me a lot, and eventually CR became my favorite section :)
