I just finished my freshman year this week, and even though I enjoyed it, I feel like maybe I missed out on that classic college experience. I go to Mills College, which is a really small women’s college (less than 1000 people in class of 2019), so there’s really no party/social life on campus. Like, everybody has friends from school to hang out with, but if you want to do anything else, you have to go off campus. And because I never really went out in high school, I don’t know the type of people who would invite me out to parties or concerts, or other fun things. I’m planning on changing that next year, but it seems like everyone else had all sorts of fun this past year that I never did. Has anyone else felt this way about their first year?
I go to a small private school in SoCal, so I can kind of relate to this. I definitely felt this way to but went out of my way to get involved on campus and meet new people, which really helped me a lot!
