<p>I wanted to alert everyone to a Bosch dishwasher safety recall that I just learned about in Consumer Reports. Mine was affected.</p>

<p>Get your model # and serial # and go to their website:</p>

<p>to see if yours is affected. If so, call them at 1-800-856-9226 and they’ll take your info, give you a reference # for the free repair, and tell you who to contact.</p>

<p>Since we didn’t purchase the dishwasher–it was in the kitchen when we bought our house–I never would have found out about the recall if not for Consumer Reports.</p>

<p>Thanks for the heads up. I had not heard of the recall. Mine is not effected. </p>

<p>Oddly enough I received a letter from Sears today regarding our Oasis washer. They want to replace a computer panel for free. It’s already been replaced once within the first year.</p>

<p>martharap – thanks for the heads up. We have a Bosch dishwasher and I went to the site you linked but for the life of me I can’t find where it has information on their site about the recall. I even did a search for the word “recall” and there were 0 results. Where can I find this information on their website? Thanks.</p>

<p>^^ I just went to the website as well thanks to the OP’s post. There’s a ‘Safety Recall’ link way in the bottom left pf that page that’s linked above.</p>

<p>I checked mine and it’s okay.</p>

<p>Thanks for the heads up. I bought my Bosch dishwasher just a few months ago so mine is not one of those affected.</p>

<p>Thanks so much for the info; I just checked serial/model #s, and mine is one of those affected. When my college junior asks me why I still read CC, it’s for information just like this - I never would have known about this recall if not for this post. The parents on CC are a great resource for many things, from travel advice to financial advice to medical advice - the list goes on and on. I’m so grateful I discovered it during the college admissions cycle a few year ago, and I really appreciate all the parents who participate.</p>

<p>This is the first place I think of when I come across info that might be helpful to others. Just paying it forward!</p>

<p>We have 2 kids in college and found our D’s ultimate college choice on CC–I had never heard of the school! Of course I was worried sick about Andison’s story when my S only applied to “reach” schools–but he had a great outcome.</p>

<p>CC has been a wonderful site for me. I’ve found great books to read, great recipes, great travel tips, great summer program and study abroad tips, great medical tips, etc.</p>

<p>And for sheer entertainment value, it can’t be beat!</p>
