Boston area schools for the B plus student

I think cpt may have been referring to Mass. College of Art (commonly referred to as “MassArt”), which is in the city, just up the street from Northeastern. It does have two residence halls, but I think the majority of students live off campus.

Even if UMass Boston had dorms, it would still seem cutoff from the rest of the Boston universities that are further north

I did, sorry about my mistake. A friend of mine has a daughter who dropped out of NE half way through, got a job in Boston, established residency and got her degree from there at a very cheap price.

Babson, Bentley and NEU are about $50k. NEU gives a lot of merit aid, but it’s fairly selective so I’m not sure how much merit aid a B+ student would get.

Another recommendation for Stonehill. Great school, good business program and big on internships. I knew a few kids going there and they are some of the nicest kids I know. We toured it and really liked it. Pretty campus, and very student-centered.

Also Bryant if child wants business (its in northeastern RI, but that’s the greater Boston area).

Also Merrimack, Endicott, and further out Assumption (Worcester) and Providence College.

NEU is expensive… but I will say I have been impressed by their co-op program which seems and resulting opportunities for a job after graduation.

You might want to look at Lasell College–would be a solid safety for your son, $35,000 sticker price and he would probably get good merit money (B+ is on the high end for them, plus they are actively recruiting men). They have undergrad business.

Northeastern and Drexel ¶ have these co-op programs, any others? - I know OP wanted Boston - just curious about the co-op’s. These positive comments have me interested.

Re co-ops: University of Cinncinnati is another strong co-op school, and being public, is a little less expensive than NEU or Drexel. RIT, Johnson & Wales, Kettering, Wentworth Inst, and Pace also have very good programs.

I second the recommendation for the University of Cincinnati.

Endicott’s tuition is currently $25,848.

Eastern Nazarene’s tuition is $22,982 , and they offer merit scholarships.

which is within 128 loop on the southern edge (they have school run vans to bring kids into boston which is like 15 minutes). has campus and dorms. for a B+ student I’d say good shot at 12K/yr merit scholarship.
