Congrats! Can you tell us about yourself and what school inside BC applied to?

Boston is a lot like Sweden in the winter. Lol.
Daughter just got in! MCAS. She screamed so loud it scared the crap out of the dog and the cat. Happy times at our house tonight! Best wishes to all.
That is so awesome!!! I hope that happens in our house soon!!
Do you mind sharing your DAughters stats? So exciting !! Congrats!
Can one of the admitted students please tell us any information given in the acceptance letter regarding the number of applicants BC had for ED, if this info was shared?

Another was a young man from central mass which always helps a bit and had 1480 sat. 3.6gpa. UW High rigor of classes. Lots of service work and strong Catholic and parish work. Activities galore and awards etc.
@2024grad01 I bet it was a close call. You have an excellent profile. Chin up.
They didn’t say no and I believe they were conservative first time around.
Sure. SAT 1460 (730 math/730 verbal). GPA: 4.0 unweighted, 4.25 weighted. EC’s were good but not great. Common app essay was great, Why BC essay was very good. Attends a highly-ranked public high school in SF Bay Area.
Awesome! My daughter has similar stats (1480, 4.2 GPA). Fingers crossed for RD for her.
What is her major?

Can one of the admitted students please tell us any information given in the acceptance letter regarding the number of applicants BC had for ED, if this info was shared?
Wasn’t shared in the acceptance letter. I’m curious about that myself.
Yellojacket
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I think BC is going to be very quiet or vague about #s in this first ever ED1. They can do this as a private institution.
My son just heard - got into Carroll with 34 ACT, 4.57 w gpa. Private, local Catholic that sends a lot of kids to (BC) - ten last year I think. EC’s were service oriented and 3 years of high school soccer. Also got four years of housing!
So here’s my big time guess only.
450 out of 1200 Ed 37 percent 100 percent yield.
600 out 1800 EdII. 33 percent 100 percent yield.
4200 out of 23000 rd. 18 percent 30 percent yield.
4000 wait list. 100 spots used this year vs nearly zero last year.
5250 out of 26000. 20 percent admit rate. Big yield improvement.
Stats will improve to last year enrolled . Slightly lower admitted. 32 to 34 vs 33 to 35 act mid 50 type change.
10000 less apps to read through and a class they like a lot is the hope.
D20 was accepted to MCAS. 32 ACT, school does not calculate GPA, but probably around 3.8 UW. Legacy. Congrats to all!!
@YelloJacket what is the Why BC essay? Which prompt? The last one?

congratulations!!!
