Boston University Academy to host SIG, why?

BUA is hosting a SIG program this summer. [Summer Institute for the Gifted at Boston University Academy - Day Summer Program for Gifted and Talented Students](http://www.giftedstudy.com/day/buacademy/index.asp)

I have looked into SIG in the past and came to the conclusion that it is at best a “pretender program”. Others on CC have shared personal experiences that support my impression (see post referenced below).

I have no connection to BUA but hosting SIG leaves me nonplussed if I am feeling charitable.

For those with BUA connections can you fill us in?
