Accepted to school of communication for journalism w/acceptance to honors college and selection as Trustee scholar. 4.6 UW/3.8 W GPA. 33 ACT.
Daughter accepted to the honors college for computer science but received no merit and we are not financial aid eligible. So disappointed. 1540 SAT, 4.25 out of 4.3 UW GPA.

Did anybody else receive much less aid than the NPC said? The actual cost was almost $10000 a year more than the predicted cost…

Accepted in engineering. National merit finalist, 1560, 4.04 unweighted. Rigorous coursework. Excellent extracurriculars / volunteerism. Will not attend because I got no merit awards even though they baited me with emails saying, as national merit, i was eligible for a $25,000 scholarship.

@Notmail If I’m not wrong, National Merit awards come later in the process, because you only lock in your top choice by May 1st. I’m pretty sure that if you do go to BU, you are guaranteed that $25000. I’d advise you to call them and ask to make sure, but I’m confident that NMFs are guaranteed that 25 grand
@emptynestingsoon agreed! I never heard of this…wondering if its BU’s idea of a soft no or if this is a legitimate offer. If you don’t mind sharing, what were your D’s stats and what major was she applying to?
