@cacs29 my D also got this offer…have you ever heard of it before?
My s CAS was offered guaranteed transfer admittance in 2021. Anybody else get that?
I still haven’t gotten my decision…
Yes that’s what my son got. I guess it’s a okay pat on the back but not very logistically reasonable.
I got accepted to CAS w/ 60k financial aid.
34 ACT, 3.8UW or 4.7 W GPA
A lot of students from my area end up going to BU, and even though I go to a public school I think students have a good rep w/ the school.
@tortiehannah BU has been offering Guaranteed Sophomore Transfer for several years now. It does not count as a fall, 2020 acceptance so they can report a lower acceptance rate and higher admitted stats.
@TomSrOfBoston yes, I was wondering if this was a soft no, because honestly how often is it logistically feasible to do this. Or if was considered a legitimate offer…do you know if they do this for everyone not admitted or waitlisted, or is it the gray zone…great GPA, not so great SAT/ACT or vice versa? I know you may not have the answers but I am trying to wrap my head around this. Thanks
Rejected. Not even waitlisted
35 ACT
1570 SAT superscore 1550 highest single sitting
4.46 WGPA
Solid ECs
I thought I wrote a good personal statement and had good recs too
Got accepted to CAS
International Student
1400 SAT
Was wondering whether the merit scholarship is awarded along with the decision or in some other mail?
@tortiehannah No, there are many rejections. So GST is a gray zone as you say. In a way it is better than being waitlisted because in the past few years virtually no one has been accepted off the waitlist.
@Spidermom67 I agree…not quite sure what to make of it either.
that’s exactly what I got and I’m so confused about it
@864346 Did you consider BU to be a safety? If so then they likely sensed that from your application. Did you do anything to “show interest”?
I applied to the Accelerated Medical Program and the Trustee Scholarship so I thought I showed interest. BU was supposed to be a target school for me
i got guaranteed admission as a transfer student… dont know what to make of it
rejected but i got guaranteed transfer for september 2021 as well
Anybody else get the CGS starting Jan 2021 with a summer term in London?
@julialb2002 better than being rejected for sure and probably better than being waitlisted
@864346 The Accelelerated Medical Program has HYPSM admission difficulty.
Accepted to CAS
1580 sat
4.65 w gpa
Does anyone know if they send rejections for the honors college decision? (I’m assuming the lack of anything talking about it is a rejection, but I kind of wish they were more up front about it)
Also congrats to everyone who got in!
