@Pokamolodoy They called me on my international number…I am a US citizen but have lived in Europe all my life
Just wanted to post cause it seems like everyone here got off from call. I already declined my admission, but I got accepted off the waitlist on 4/27, but unlike everyone else I never got a call. I got an email saying that there was a new decision on my portal, and logged on to see an acceptance letter. Just wanted to let you guys know that I did get off the waitlist and never received any type of call about it.
Thanks @Hoped1 @Pokamolodoy and @Student235323 appreciate your sharing. Losing hope with each wave but wishing you all the best at your chosen colleges!
Anyone accepted off waitlist this week or hear news of any expected waves?
The silence is deafening!! :((
I got off the waitlist early this week- but will be turning it down (no financial aid)
Thanks for the update @Hoped1 Sorry to hear that they didn’t come through with the financial aid. You’ve got some great options and fingers crossed on NYU too!
@tacticalmom thank you, good luck to you too! let’s keep fingers for our preferred options…
@tacticalmom I just got notified this morning that I got off. Very surprised, as I submitted no Letter of Continued Interest. Was just a random call with no caller ID that said we have a spot.
CONGRATULATIONS @ironmandude, thats awesome !! May I ask if you are international and what major did you apply for? Looks like they’re close to achieving their numbers and only picking people off when the odd spot becomes available. Doesn’t bode well for me but appreciate your sharing your good news. Will you be attending? Fall admit?
Thank you!!! I am from the Southwest region of the US and applied as a biomedical engineering major and this is for the fall semester. I most likely will not be attending, as I am most likely going to attend a BA-BS/MD (guaranteed direct medical entry) program in my own state. I am still not 100% decided, however.
Thanks for sharing @ironmandude - wishing you much success, guaranteed direct medical entry sounds awesome!
Need Help!! My D got an email from BU saying they tried to reach over the phone… We checked the status page before calling back BU, there was a ‘Tentative Financial Aid’ tab on the status page. It had only a 3500 (1750 per semester) student loan, no scholarship or grants. When we spoke with BU, they are asking to pay the enrollment deposit before they can release final Financial Aid. Anyone got off waitlist would like to share your experience with Financial Aid?
@ctDad5772 WOW! I’ve heard of some struggling colleges do that but I’m surprised to see BU do that. Did the BU NPC say you would be full pay? Sounds pretty shady.
BU NPC is around 45k. I called the Fin Aid office to get more info. This ‘Tentative Financial Aid’ which is full pay, could be final. Only option is to appeal for more aid. We have to pay the deposit before we will know the outcome of the appeal. I think, we are gonna decline the offer.
