Boston University Class of 2028 Official Thread

i tried it with two computers and both only came up on inspect but im pretty sure the first person that posted the picture had it on inspect

the same is happening to me and I’m freaking out a little haha

do you have it on inspect or page source?

I have it on inspect but not page source

Same I have on inspect and not page source

can some like coding genius please help out, because I do not know the difference between the two.

It seems that there are two possible outcomes when you click insepct:

Confetti or Declaration

make sure to search both

my declaration shows a code not the word it self

same here

is this control inspect or page source, cause to me it looks like inspect

mine too

I’m not 100% sure, but I think having confetti means nothing. ā€œConfettiā€ is most likely shown for everyone. It doesn’t determine whether you were accepted or rejected since no one has access to the server-side code. We only see the client side, which is shown on whatever device you are using. We don’t see bu’s side, which most likely has more lines of code that are hidden, specifically instructing whether or not to display confetti on our side. But don’t quote me on this since I only have basic knowledge of programming lol.

I just checked mine again and I saw it on inspect, not view page source. In all of my previous posts, I should have said click ā€œinspectā€, not ā€œview page sourceā€.

okay thank you, because I was so confused when I first saw that since my page source looked nothing like that

Yes, that was me. I had it on inspect and mistakenly said it was on view page source.

idk if it means anything tho since I think everyone here has it no?

That is the same with mine. See my previous post where I showed the highlighted code.

it looks like everyone has it indeed
Most likely not indicative of anything

If anyone does not have the confetti just reply to this

Wouldn’t that be the case if it was on the general application status page, but since this is on a page they linked to…one that is unique for each applicant… they could and likely would have already programmed the specific code for that person’s page in. All they will need to do it make it go live.
