My stats!
-massive upward trend in GPA (I messed up in Contemporary Media Design freshman year, and my counselor wrote about this in his rec). Cumulative from Freshman to Junior year: 3.55 + a 4.05 the first quarter of senior year (I don’t know how BU averages out cumulative + senior year grades)
-5 APs total: U.S. Hist. Macroecon, Microecon, Euro Hist., Bio.
-My school doesn’t rank.
- 31 ACT: 35/26/32/29
-My Personal Narrative was probably high average/good. I think my BU essay was good. - 2 (teacher) recommenders: one great, one average.
- My ec’s I thought were not as extensive as lot’s of other people; however, I showed a lot of commitment to the things I’m passionate about.
I wanted to give as much information as possible to the Class of 2024 prospective students that may be looking! Good luck, and, remember, ANYTHING is possible! Believe in yourself, and don’t be afraid to ask one of us or a school counselor for help during the process next year! (My insta is _janeavery).

Does anyone know about letter of deferrals? I kind of want to have my guidance counselor help me write one. If I got in I would still choose it as my first choice.
Does anyone know if BU will send a letter home if you get accepted or do they not do that? And if they do when will they send it?
@lau2555 https://www.noodle.com/articles/10-steps-to-get-accepted-after-being-deferred-from-college this website is super helpful about the format of letters to send and what to include! I was also deferred and have been looking at the website along with youtube videos to help
Now I’m trying to figure out how many messages do they provide when application is complete. Why so many different messages? Some have said thank you others completed without Ed and some with Ed. What does completed with ED in the message mean?
Has anyone received their letter in the mail yet?
I havent! Are they even sending those out? if so when would they be out??
