GOT IN!!! WITH A THANK YOU!

Does anyone know if the admittance to the honors college comes later or would it be noted in the Early Decision letter?

Got in to BUs accelerated Physical Therapy Program!

Accepted to CAS with thank you!!!

Acecepted ED1 with Thank you for Biomedical Eng

for those accepted what were your stats?

4.4 GPA, 29 ACT, IB diploma, 10/10 essays, ROC’s, 9/10 EC’s

@nocah213 I’m sure you’ll end up going to another great school… good luck!

@nocah213 I had a 30 on the Act, fairly strong grades (my school doesn’t do GPA), good recs but I really feel like my essays elevated the application.

ACT 34. Weighted GPA 4.7. Top 5% of class. 9 AP Classes Eagle Scout. 4 years Mandarin. Pres of Chinese Club. Varsity XC - Captain and Track 4 years. NHS. Essays good. Four letters of recommensation were outstanding. Interned for a State Senator. Thank you on portal.Got into CAS but denied Honors College. Financial Aid packet was poor and disappointing. It will be a stretch to afford based on what was awarded.

31 ACT, ~3.8W GPA with strong upward trend, great ECs, 4 APs, 1 dual enrollment, decent amount of honors courses. Academically I’m nothing special, but I’m pretty sure my essays 100% helped me get in.

Hey guys,
I’m a current sophomore at BU. Let me know if you guys have any questions regarding the application or decisions. BU is really a great school. Good luck to everyone. Hope y’all get in.

@Futurelbanker/hfmanager what do you think the chances are for a student who was deferred from ED I to get in during RD?

accepted ed2 to Questrom with 3.5 gpa weighted and 30 ACT, got alot of leway because of ROTC though so my stats are outliers

@Buengin - if you don’t mind, could you post your stats? My daughter applied RD for biomedical engineering and I really have no grasp on whether her stats are high enough for BU engineering.

@sleepysloths Which school did u apply to? Some schools are more selective than others. You shouldn’t be worrying about it too much because you didn’t get rejected. They will consider your application for the RD. Again depending on schools, it’s hard to tell. Ik Questrom, and Eng are way more selective than most other schools.

@Futurelbanker/hfmanager I applied to COM… apparently it was my test scores being too low but they were within the average for ED I applicants  I have a lot of demonstrated interest but idk how much that is weighted plus I sent in a letter of continued interest. My mid year grades were okay… pretty much stayed the same or minimal improvement from first quarter.

Hey! I’m new here. Applied to COM with an 1140 on SATs (unfortunately lol), 3.8 UW GPA, a few extracurriculars, and what I think was a so-so personal statement. Applied ED2 but got deferred to RD. My midyear grades were sent after the ED2 decision was released bc my school district had a delay due to weather conditions. I have the ‘our records indicate’ message on the portal. I have a LOT of demonstrated interest and sent a deferral letter as well as an additional letter of rec. Don’t think I have a good chance of getting in lol
