@samblanc does your portal still say ‘view decision’, with your deferral letter? I was deferred ED1 and my portal has yet to change since december…

@samblanc haha that’s funny, it’s probably because I started my own thread for deferred students recently… My portal changed as well yesterday and my deferral letter has disappeared. I have the ‘our records indicate’ message also.
@sleepysloths Yea is the message “our records indicate” significant at all for RD?
@odie8o i don’t believe so! from what i’ve read on this thread and some others, they don’t mean anything. for ED1 they definitely did in my experience… my message then predicted me getting deferred so here i am lol
@sleepysloths can you send the link to the deferred students thread?
@sleepysloths hey I read your other post, how did you find out that the test scores were the reason why you were deferred? When I called, they couldn’t tell me why I was deferred and the letter didn’t say much. I’m just supposing it’s because of my grades for now but I’m not sure

@art651 after I got deferred, my guidance counselor set up a phone call with my regional rep, who according to my gc, indicated that my scores “might” have been the reason. i don’t believe that they are allowed to tell students why they are rejected or deferred, but the rules might be different for guidance counselors.
BU portal is down for maintenance now, suspect they are updating big time…
I’ve applied to BU for the class of 2024, mine just says ‘Thank you for applying to Boston University!’ - what does this mean?
Sorry not being rude or anything but isn’t that self explanatory that it just says “Thank you for applying” if you just applied. Am I missing something as most univs have some message equivalent of that.
Here is the full text and is very self explanatory. “Thank you for applying to Boston University! The next step is to make sure that we have all of your required application materials. Click on Application Status in the top navigation to see if any application credentials are still needed to complete your application for admission or financial assistance.**”
I was referring to my message in context with the discussion above about whether the message on your portal was an indicator of acceptance, deferral or rejection…
Based on my reply, all it means is that literally they just thank you for applying using boilerplate language. Nothing more than that.

guys the decisions will be posted today at 4pm 110%. a reddit user who works at BU who told everyone the dates for ED1 just commented on my post saying "4PM EST TODA’
