Boston University ED Class of 2023

I feel like I don’t want to be in West or Warren but we’ll see

@imsuperscaredomg - West is really big too! I’m sure it’s great to make friends there too!

@scmjmp me too :frowning: But if you look at room tours on youtube, you get the gist of what it looks like

@Javery1 yes i am hoping!! If anything, i will visit warren like everyday LOL!

I wish stuvi was available for freshman lol

@imsuperscaredomg - Yeah! If I get in (hopefully), I can’t wait for StuVi2/1 in Junior and Senior year!

@Javery1 ME TOO!!! I HOPE WE BOTH GET IN :))

hey we never discussed this but yall why BU for you?

@imsuperscaredomg - HOPE SO!!!
@crn123 - I want to do Sports Journalism (BU has an amazing Journalism major/communications department!), and there’s also a super cool study abroad in London that’s really popular with COM students.

Low key cuz TD garden is right next to BU but idk I felt at home compared to northeastern.

Also because the music program is really good.

it’s a perfect mix of city campus and community for me, it’s right in boston, the opportunities are endless, and i just felt at home the second i stepped onto campus!!

My family lives in Boston and I want to see them, they have a marching band despite being a city school, and they have a great journalism program

My dad went there, so from a young age it was easy to fall in love with the school. Also, they have the med program where you can get into their med school and that’s really awesome. I’m from Boston, so I’m a big hockey fan as well.

BU because of its community. You get the school spirit from these hockey games and Greek life isn’t heavily emphasized here. BU is super urban, but you still have some grassy/campus-like areas here. The diversity here is great too.

@citygirl0719 - what major/school did you apply to?

same its the perfect mix of campus and city, and honestly its an upcoming college so its just going to get better.

@javery1 i applied to cas as an international relations major!

@citygirl0719 same
To why BU - it’s so LGBT friendly and I love their campus (plus I love that I can double major in Math and IR)

I applied to BU because of it’s new take on education, their gen ed classes is formed in a way that I want to be able to implement into any future classrooms I’ll be in as a student or a teacher. They have opportunities to explore many areas like the cross college and help us with office hours and workshops that I don’t see in many colleges.
More specifically is the close knit community of Wheelock College that is a seller

I want to dual major in English, and Secondary Education but I’m going to be taking a lot of American policy classes to be geared for a masters and even further in Education.
