I was admitted to the Boston University College of Arts and Sciences for a BA of Computer Science and to New York University Tandon School of Engineering for a BS in Computer Science. Both offered enough money to make their costs roughly equal. NYU is a bigger school with a very small engineering school that is away from the main campus that was recently added. BU arts and sciences is their largest school. I just want to go to the one that would provide me the best choice at a successful future in the Computer Science field. What should I go with?
If it was Courant, I’d say NYU, but since it isn’t I’d say BU.
NYU is known more for fine arts and business than engineering. Before the NYU merger, Tandon (Poly then) wasn’t that highly regarded, and I doubt NYU has done much to change that. I’d say go with BU.
