I was the head bouncer at a club for 3 years, would this be something you could put on a resume??

anybody? I’ve been getting mixed answers regarding this topic.

Sure, it is a good conversation starter. A lot of times the interviewer will pick out something to talk about like that to break the tension.

awesome! I was also a personal trainer for a while and that always seemed to spark good converstaion, so I can see how bouncing could also. I was asking because some of my profs said that it might make me out to goon, however, making sure no one gets hurt and keeping 900+ drunken fools under control isn’t the easiest job.

I can see how your profs would come up with that viewpoint but I would definitely put it - it’s an attention-getter, if nothing else ;)

Don’t focus on the fact that you were a bouncer–focus on the fact that you were the HEAD bouncer. Demonstrate your communication and leadership skills.
