<p>The Bowdoin community is to be commended for [raising $293M during these difficult financial times](<a href=“News | Bowdoin College”>http://www.bowdoin.edu/news/archives/1bowdoincampus/006390.shtml</a>) and easily beating Bowdoin’s $250M fund-raising target in the latest capital campaign, which concluded on June 30.</p>
<p>This is really kind of inspiring to me: to see such a sommunity effort. Most of the LACs have drastically reduced their output due to the financial crisis, but Bowdoin isn’t compromising near as much.</p>
