Odd, meaningless question here: when you go to https://admissions.bowdoin.edu/portal/admit and log into your portal, what does it say? For be it says “503 Error Portal is Inactive.”

Classes: Most of my classes in high school are honors/AP. My senior schedule is AP Spanish Language, AP Calculus AB, AP Psychology, AP English Literature, Dual Enrollment Sociology, Biotechnology IV, and Politics/Finance.

I did a fellowship with my state’s U.S. District Court for 5 weeks.
Letters of Recommendation: I put three letters of recommendation in my Common App. One was from my AP Spanish Lit teacher, the second was from my precalculus teacher, and the last one was from my guidance counselor. They all said pretty nice things about me!
Common App Essay: I would give my Common App essay a 9/10, it was about something pretty personal and it tied into how I’m interested in the field of psychology!
Bowdoin Supplemental Essay: I would give my Bowdoin Supplemental essay an 8/10. I chose the line “And Art an intimate friend…” and talked about my passion for bullet journaling! I also did the Bowdoin Optional Video Response, which actually didn’t go as bad as I thought!
I participated in Bowdoin’s fly-in and I had my interview there!
I think the biggest takeaways from my application were my letters of recommendation and essays since my stats aren’t the best! Best of luck to you and anyone else who applied to Bowdoin!
