I received an email on Wednesday but it didn’t say much
Has anyone gotten off the bowdoin waitlist? I have a friend that got off the brown waitlist and a friends that got off the Boston college waitlist.
@NewUsername3020 I haven’t heard of anyone yet.
My daughter said that a few people recently joined the Class of 2024 group chat, and they said they had been on the wait list.
My daughter’s friend got in off the wait list and will be going.
I got a call on May 2 off the waitlist after submitting my statement of continued interest on April 30. I answered that I was interested in staying on the waitlist right when RD came out. Can’t wait for the next four in Brunswick!
has anyone heard of international students getting off the waitlist?
I got called off waitlist May 3rd. I send a letter of continued interest in April with my updates since Jan 1. I think that helps to show you are still interested. Hope this helps.
hey, does the class seem to be full? i’m an intl asking for a lot of aid but i saw someone get off with loads of aid a few days back and the waitlist is unranked, so am hoping for it. i love the school and it’s my top choicee. i sent in a loci early april and an email later (got no reply though)
@aaahir I am in a similar situation! international student here asking for financial aid as well; I wonder if they have finished admitting from the waitlist already?
i hope not XD
I am stunned. I just got a call this morning and got off the waitlist with a lot of aid. I had given up all hope, and was already settling into the other school I 100% thought I would be attending in the fall. To all you still waiting, do not give up hope!
congratulations! are you an international? im praying they email/call me by this weekend
No, I am from Texas, not sure how many internationals they admit off waitlist.
any update on the WL?
@jumpman2323 what were your stats?
@chickenlover23
ACT: 34
GPA: 3.98/4.61
Rank in Class: 7/90
3 APs
Good amount of extracurriculars and leadership
Lots of Volunteer work with special needs kids
So, overall my stats really weren’t anything too special, however I did do an interview, which is the real reason why I believe I came off the waitlist. Also I did submit a LOCI, but did not include any updated academic information.
Just saw posted on the school’s Instagram page that only Freshmen, new transfers, and few others will be on campus this fall. All others doing online classes. Assume that means no athletics for both fall and winter.
Those living on campus also taking mostly remote classes. Looks like only freshman seminar classes will be in person.
And first year students don’t return in the Spring. Bowdoin leads the way, just not sure if all the students will follow…
