My DD takes dual enrollment classes at BGSU and has been to the fish area on campus with her Bio lab. She also plans to major in Biology but wants to get away from home so BG is not in her plans.

Proximity to the Great Lakes makes freshwater research easily accessible from BGSU though I have heard they use Ohio State’s Stone Lab frequently which is a super cool place if you’ve never been there.

This Marine Biology link from BGSU describes their facilities…

yeah, i live practically next door to BGSU and take PSO there. I guess my biggest disappointment with OSU was the lack of any salt water labs. Do you know if they do any research on corals or anything salt water?

MD,

Do you do full time PSO? I think you may be right about OSU and saltwater, have you looked at OU? I think they might have a more solidified marine biology program.

My youngest brother went to Athens and loved it, if you’ve never been there, you should visit. Especially if you’re sick of NW Ohio like my daughter is.
