<p>She went to THAT flash mob? THE GLEE flashmob? Wow. EK, you rock!</p>
<p>I was just informed that WE are going out. Ha-ha. To hubby’s workplace to check on something. I’m humbled that I’m invited. This is our Saturday night fun! :D</p>
<p>Haha, if you’re old, EK, then I’m old at the tender age of 19. </p>
<p>I went to a Stones concert with my parents when I was 15 (?). We were in the front row on the field and I was about ready to fall asleep (used to getting up at 6 AM for school). My parents and all the people of my parents generation were up and bouncing around like teenagers while I was about ready to go to sleep with Mick Jagger 15 feet away from me. In retrospect, I’m like ???</p>
<p>I stay up pretty late but who is this “Justin Bieber” kid on SNL? Good grief! Weirdest thing for me is that some of the club soccer teams are the “00’s”', (born in 2000).</p>
<p>Stayed awake and only yawned twice. Great concert.</p>
<p>I’m already tired of Justin Bieber. He has this schtick where he acts attracted to the older women interviewing him, inclulding Barbara Walters on The View. Eeeeewwwww.</p>
<p>Ok- maybe I am not as old as I thought but- I also had * another* event to attend last night, a fundraiser at a club in Pioneer Square and I was so tired beforehand, I literally could not hold my eyes open.</p>
<p>I just had been doing too much & even though my H was already to go, and even though he had this weekend off ( he usually works), I tried to beg off.
But then I * had to check* the blog about the event, and read that I would be * really, really* sorry if I missed the special guest. ( Pearl Jam related)</p>
<p>I immediately jumped to conclusions and assumed it was going to be someone that makes surprise visits only in a great while- and someone that I * would be really , really, really sorry* if I missed him. Like Eddie Vedder. :)</p>
<p>So we went.</p>
<p>It wasn’t Eddie- It was Mike McCready, whom I kinda expected anyway, cause it was for CCFA- his main charitable cause & the acoustic set was great- but I see him all the time. ( but still :D)
But I did manage to get * two of his picks<a href=“I%20won%20one,%20and%20he%20gave%20me%20one”>/i</a>, so it was worth it, I have never asked him for any before- but then I whinge about it. a lot. :o

We stayed till about midnight- Mikes set with Jeff Rouse. Jeff’s set with his band- the Glorious Lonely, then Rick Friel and Jodie Watts ( we had to stay so late, cause I still had more raffle tickets!)</p>
<p>But if I want to do better when the flashmob performs at Pridefest, I think I better get back to the gym- I am feeling it today.</p>

<p>He looked like he was trying to tap his inner "gangsta " on SNL last night but it was weak. The dancers where ok, but sort of upstaged him.</p>
<p>So many people think he is the real deal…I’ll have to try harder to hear him.</p>
<p>But, of course, my tastes run more to Crystal Bowersox so there you have it.</p>
<p>Mathmom, my S wants to know if you went to see Finntroll? If so, he bows down before you … he says parents at Finntroll would be “epic.” 
S is a metal fan (plays in a metal band, and even he wears ear plugs for his gigs!).</p>
<p>I once slept at a concert … I slept through Golden Earring when they opened for AC/DC in '79. I wasn’t old … the drinking age was 18, so that’s my excuse.</p>
<p>I read in the paper this a.m. that Jakob Dylan is 40. Forty? When did that happen? I remember when he was still wet behind the ears.</p>

<p>Justin Bieber looks like he’s about 8 or 9. He might be a very nice kid, but I don’t get it. Neither does my 12 year old, for that matter.</p>
<p>Some music is multi-generational. I was very relieved last year to see I wasn’t the only old person in the crowd (far from it, in fact) for Green Day at MSG. Don’t think I’ll ever see a better concert. </p>
<p>Saw an ad for Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes (!) recently. If they’d have been closer I might have gone to see them for old time’s sake. Great bar band - back then, at least!</p>
<p>THe first time I saw Pearl Jam- the Wallflowers opened- that was in 1998. The same day my daughter broke her arm.

Nope, the main band was Sonata Arctica. This is the third time we’ve been to see them. I do like that they play in such small places that even if you sit in the back you’ve got a great view. We’ve also seen Nightwish, The Rasmus, and (my favorite) Apocalyptica who play metal on cellos.</p>
<p>I fell asleep trying to watch SNL (happens consistently… unfortunatley) so missed Justin Bieber and Tina Fey’s latest Sarah Palin imitation. I supposed I can find the rerun online.</p>
<p>I am going to see James Taylor and Carole King in June. I dont care how old that makes me (I have enjoyed them since HS, when JT had hair, LOL). I cant wait.</p>
<p>BTW,I fell asleep at a very loud Blues review. Can happen.</p>
