Boy's State and Girl's Auxiliary State: Extracurricular or Honor?

<p>Are Boy’s and Girl’s State an EC or Honor? If it is an honor, should you just put positions held and banquet awards in parenthesis?</p>

<p>Your school selected you in the first place to attend (or at the least, you had to get a “recommendation” or signature from your school, correct?), and/or you had to apply, correct? So it should be considered an honor, in that sense. And indeed, I would list positions held and awards won in parentheses, if you want to list them on the same line. If you have extra space you are trying to fill, you can list them on a separate line.</p>

<p>If you don’t really have room for either of those options (you can’t squeeze it all into the space given), you may want to consider attaching an additional sheet that lists a little more detail about your position at Boy’s/Girl’s State.</p>
