I just read elsewhere that her body has been released to the coroner, who released to her mother. I will look into this further.

** Here ya go <a href=“Jahi McMath: 13-year-old brain-dead Oakland girl moved by family from hospital – The Mercury News”>Jahi McMath: 13-year-old brain-dead Oakland girl moved by family from hospital – The Mercury News;

ETA: Some twitter posts say the NY facility “renegged” on its offer (no surprise there) but they have not indicated where she was taken, or what the plans are.

Yup. OMG. Dolan is holding a press conference. "She is safely out of Children’s

“Press conference Dolan law firm 1438 Market St., San Francisco. Just highest free! John highest free! She is safely out of Children’s.”

His tweet.???

Flossy - where are you hearing his press conference?

Gotta love that wording! :D

Goodness, I bet the hospital staff is glad to be rid of all the media, etc. The press, the picketing . . . it had to have been extraordinarily difficult to work there these past few weeks.

I am, however, frankly amazed that anyone agreed to take her. It makes no sense . . .

I’m not. I got a tweet. I know. It’s ridiculous.

BREAKING: Children’s Hospital says it has released #Jahi McMath’s body to the coroner, who released it to her family.

The comments on that article bring up a good point- is it legal to accept a dead body into a “treatment” facility? Seems like that would be against dozens of public health codes.

ETA: This is the facility in NY: http://www.nbli.org/

Outpatient?!

So if you’re an EMT on shift in the Bay Area right now, I’ll bet you’re hoping not to get a 911 call from the mother when she realizes what she’s done.

I wonder - how can a plane take her to NY if the east cost is solid frozen?! She must have been taken somewhere locally. Parents’ home?

Flossy’s link reports the uncle says the family will be speaking to press at a news conference tonight (it’s still evening on the west coast).

The tweets are saying they are setting up for a news conference. Anyone in the bay area able to see this?

** crossposted

One of the reporters for KTVU tweets that the uncle says the location of his niece will stay private.

I’m not. I have given you all I have. I am currently listening to SF radio but it’s just talk show hosts ranting about all of this. They say the news conference with Dolan was “flamboyant” but that’s no big whoop is it? The body left in an ambulance and is headed to a “clandestine” location. This is the craziest most bizarre thing ever!

The family is supposed to speak somewhere at 10.

Atty should check for autocorrect before sending out a tweet! It says;

Ummm… I think he means Jahi is free. But continued inappropriate word choices. Actually, she will be free when they let her rest in peace.

So I’ve seen pictures of this lawyer now, from several links people have posted on CC; for some reason, whenever I see his picture or hear his name now, I think of Saul Goodman from Breaking Bad.

Nothing on KTVU yet, probably will be at 10.

This lawyer is really, really making my skin crawl on a whole new level.
