I’m a senior and I’m graduating a year early. Sadly, last year I had to have brain surgery and my GPA was ruined! I missed over three months of school. my average is 80, act 22( but i got a 28 on the reading, 10 on writing, bomed math and science) I’m president of the french club, volunteer at children’s hosp., taking college classes at local CC and studied at Stanford Univeristy this past summer…
will mcgill let me in becuase of my other academic sucesses? I’m so worried!

That is so fusterating to me…
I mean I have an INSANE amount of Volunteer hours, a million E.C’s,and i went to stanford for the summer for petes sake! And i’ve allready been rejected by two colleges, ( accepted by one) but how can they not understand that I had part of my skull,c-1 and c-2 vertbrea, and part of the lining of my brain removed??? no college seems to understand! thanks for replying though…

fischey, did you tell them about your surgery? I know Mcgill has a section where you can add extenuating circumstances.
Brain surgery is VERY serious, and any reasonable college should take that into consideration. But they will only know if you mention it
As for ECs, im not saying yours ARENT impressive… but you’d be surprised shocked at what a lot of the people on CC have managed in the past four years. 0_0
