Is there any majors or areas of study where you can only start at UP? If so which ones?
Architecture, for one. From a quick glance, also Theater (BFA), Theater (BA), premed-medical accelerated program, Musical Theater. Some others. The ones that say “Start and finish: University Park” are the restricted ones. http://admissions.psu.edu/academics/majors/4year/?displayBy=campus&campus=17
Thank you for the quick response. Do you know if it is possible to get into those areas after DUS? Or do you have to start as a freshman in those programs?
That would be a question to ask an advisor. However, since these are very special programs, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of them are limited to freshmen only. Stuff like the premed-medical school program isn’t a normal major.
Also Nursing and Golf Course Management. You can study nursing at other campuses but you don’t transfer to UP. At UP you can only start nursing aschool a freshman. Golf Management is freshman start at UP only.
