<p>As expected, Brandon double downs on Hoke because he has nothing to lose and everything to gain in doing so, despite it’s obvious that more likely than not it is not the right step for the program.</p>
<p>More interesting, the undertone of Brandon’s endorsement of Hoke, especially the continuous praise of Mattison and the blatant omission of anything Borges, is very telling. He’s basically forcing Hoke’s hand and making it impossible to not fire Borges.</p>
<p>I for one am very much enjoying watching the chess match going on at Schembechler Hall. Classic lesson on office politics!</p>
