Do your leftover Big Red Bucks carry over to next semester, or do you use 'em or lose 'em?

If I remember correctly, they don’t carry over, which is why there’s a rush to use them up at the end of the semester.

They carry over from fall semester to spring semester, but not from year to year.

Does every part of the meal plan carry over? (City Bucks especially?)

Dear Uncle Ezra,
I signed up for the Bear Traditional Meal Plan that comes with $500 Big Red Bucks. If I have a remaining balance at the end of the semester, does it carry over to the next semester?

Dear Balancing your Big Red Bucks,

Big Red Buck balances carry over from fall to spring semester, but do not carry over from year to year. With your meal plan, if you end the semester with 32 Big Red Bucks remaining, you will have a 532 starting balance in spring which you must use before the end of the semester. So be creative, try something new; you can spend your Big Red Bucks like cash at any of the dining facilities on campus. Typically, students use their BRBs in Cornell Dining convenience stores, cash-purchase facilities, and vending machines. It is a declining balance account, and one dollar equals one Big Red Buck.
