"Breaking Bad" final season starts August 11th - SPOILER ALERT

Anticipation and dread…yes, yes…this.

I feel like I am steeling myself up in order to get through this.
I’m still numb from Andrea being killed.

I just don’t think Jesse can recover from any of this. He is just too broken.

Since AMC started replaying the series on Wednesday evening I have been on a Breaking Bad bender. I am partway through the 5th season, having hardly come up for air in three days.

Walter White’s fatal flaw is his hubris. Extreme arogance and pride, and a need to have his accomplishments recognized are his downfall.

I hope Jesse, Brock, Holly and Flynn have happy endings

…

Haven’t seen it yet. The site I usually go to doesn’t have it uploaded yet. Has it finished airing?

Yes, all finished. Stop reading the thread so we don’t spoil something for you.

Thank you, show - you gave me everything I wanted.

It has finished airing on the east coast.

Satisfying in every way. Especially glad to see Badger and (?) again.

Nice, it just got uploaded. About to watch it in a few min.

Wow - Perfect ending. Nailed it!!

That was a great moment with Badger and Skinny Pete. I was so pleased to see the actors’ names in the credits but of course had no idea what they’d be up to in the episode. Brilliant!

Everything a fan could want! Go, Jesse!

So that was great. Would have been even better without tons of long commercials!

SO GLAD I was wrong about Jesse!

Loved the ending. Loved the tone and the sweet air of sadness. Loved when Walt was talking to Skyler about why he cooked and he finally admitted “I did it because I liked it. And I was good at it.”

Also loved the music at the end - Badfinger and “Baby Blue.” How perfect was that?!

hmmm - I may be in the minority, but I’d expected it to be a bit darker. For me, compared to the rest of the season, it was a bit too… nice (for lack of a better word).
Closure a bit too perfect. That said, satisfying is better than not, I suppose.

LOVED Badfinger’s “Baby Blue” OMG, awesome, perfect.

“sweet air of sadness”…yes, a fitting description.
As the episode evolved, the tension I felt, the anxiety started to dissolve.
I personally felt like Walt always did what he did because he liked it. Yes, he did it because of family, that too, but as he says, he felt alive.

The Grey Matter people; loved how they got their come-uppance and great way to resolve the money issue…I always felt like Walt could not go through this whole series for nothing; I don’t think it could have been a satisfying episode if that were the outcome.

Well, I am satisfied. …but where’s the money?

I also liked how Walt died close to what he really loved - super-sized lab equipment.

And with his death in the lab–it looks like Walt was cooking for Uncle Jack and so it cleared Jesse.

Watching Talking Bad now, and the host asked Jonathan Banks (Mike Ehrmantraught) “How do you think Mike would feel about Jesse getting away in the end?”

Jonathan said, “Well, Jesse is only going one place. No matter what Aaron says, I know where he’s going. He’s going to take care of Brock.”

I think that is what all of us hope.

Perfect, perfect ending. So many great moments. Just brilliant.

Eastcoast, I see Jessie taking care of Brock, and becoming a wood worker, in Alaska.

There were just so many great moments in this episode: Walt’s brilliant way of assuring the family does, in the end, get money. The way Walt finally admitted he enjoyed/was good/felt alive during his criminality. The way Walt and Skyler said goodbye. And of course, the freeing of Jessie, freeing on so many different levels.

A satisfying ending to a great series. I’m sad to see it go, but feel completely at peace with how it all ended.
