So I waited until the last minute and everything from the registry is gone. Any clever suggestions? Many thanks!

Get a gift pack of spice mixtures from Penzey’s. You can order it online. Even good cooks like them, and those who don’t cook will find them an easy way to throw together an interesting quick dinner.

Since it’s a bridal shower, I assume you’ll have the wedding later. When I or my parents have had this, we tried to find two gifts that correlated.

I thought my two-set gift to my best friend was cool: for the bridal shower I got her my favorite cookbook (The New Best Recipes). It was $20, but I was a bridesmaid and bought her a bridesmaid gift, so the cookbook was a good option. Maybe you could throw in a spa treatment or gift card to get a mani or pedi or something, since it’s a gift to the bride. Then, for the wedding gift, we gave them a gift certificate to a cooking class. They were able to choose a class that interested them and it was a great “date night” for them.

I’ll tell you what I like to give at bridal showers. A frame that you can put multiple pictures in. Then I put a different photo of me in every single one of the openings, to make it quirky. I usually attach something as well, typically a gift card to where they registered. That way I gave them a bit of my quirk, and they can still buy what they want.
