"Briefly elaborate on one of your extracurricular activities or work experiences" question

On this question on the common app, I’m a little confused of which activity to explain. I’m in between two options.

  1. GED Tutoring- I tutor women in a drug participation program-- so basically women who were once addicted, hard because of drug effect of brain
  2. Georgia Secretary of State Ambassadors- This is less self-explanatory, got me really into politics, got some good recognition in Georgia government

Both are listed as my ECs Im just wondering if admissions wants me to explain? Thanks.

Choose the one that is most important to you. Try not to focus on what admissions wants to see, and let your personality shine :slight_smile:

I agree with the above, and also: choose the one that allows you to tell a compelling story, and allow your genuine voice to shine through. That’s what essays are about.
