Bright Futures

The bright futures scholarship says that you have to take 2 languages to get the scholarship, and that they have to be sequential. However, I made a mistake. I took beginning french in middle school and I thought that was the same as french 1. So, I then took french 2 in high school. Finding out that beginning french didn’t count, I took french 1 on flvs. So basically, I did french 2 first, then french 1. That’s not sequential. I asked my guidance counselor if this still counts and she said as long as I have 2 languages I can get the scholarship. Is she right? Or will my scholarship be denied because I didn’t take the languages in order?

I’d get it in writing from BF. I really doubt they’d even notice you took it out of order, but be sure to do it and get it in writing. Of course, you could take French 3 to be sure!

How do I get it in writing? By emailing them?

I would. The Bright Futures people are very nice.
