<p>I’ve heard that we can bring our laptops to CalSO and use the internet at night…do many people do this?</p>
<p>Also, they’re not specific in telling us what to bring to the dorms. Can anyone who’s been to CalSO already tell me what they recommend I bring? (I’m going this Friday). The email said bedding + towels is provided, but I’m hesitant about what it really entails…</p>

Yea there’s internet in the dorms, you’ll need ur cal net Id # and passphrase. I knew a few people that brought their laptops…but you’ll live without it… just go out and meet new people.</p>
<p>there’s not really much time to do it. unless you’re really worried about planning your classes (i actually was and wish i brought mine to do some more research), it’s not worth it for most people</p>

<p>i did my research ahead of time but i still found it useful to have my laptop for last minute changes. i still had plenty of time to socialize and meet people. i would say bring it just in case and if you need it it’ll be there.</p>
