I will be a freshman at Purdue next fall and plan on living on campus. Will I be able to keep a small box turtle in my dorm?
Do it regardless of the rules. If you get cool RAs the won’t enforce the policy unless you are causing a problem. And even if you have bad RAs, just leave the thing in your room, and if they do checks, have it in a place that they wont look, it’s as simple as that.
^ that’s really bad advice considering you don’t know the kind of RAs you’ll have or when they’ll be in your room. At my university that policy violation comes with a $200 fine attached.
Yes, I too find it very easy to hide a 20-40 gallon tank full of turtle. 8-|
@Orioles13 - OP specified a box turtle. Even small ones need a lot of space and they don’t stay small.
Just bring lots of stuffed animal turtles and turtle fangear to show your turtle love. No actual turtles in dorms. Think about how traumatic it would be if your sweet tiny turtle were confiscated. Horrors!!
