<p>Check for the time in your local listings for ABC’s The View today. The show will be filled with performances from current Broadway shows and a few surprises, in honor of Rosie’s 45th birthday. <p>Well, gosh, I missed it, too! We have TVs on at work, but they are tuned in to CNN only, so all I see is bad news all day long. 
One of these days, I am going to get me a Tivo. Gotta get with the modern times. ;)</p>
<p>I just looked up the listings as I hardly ever watch TV and it says The View is on here 11-12, so I missed it.</p>
<p>NMR…by the way, I don’t have TIVO and I am not even sure what that is or how it works.
We do have a VCR, however.</p>
<p>Susan, you and I are the only people in North America without the might TiVo, I think! 
Seriously, all the young people (by which I mean all the people under the age of, say, 35) in my office talk nonstop about their TiVos (and what they have recorded on it) all day long. Several confessed to me that they watch MORE television since getting TiVo, because they stockpile all these shows and it feels as if they <em>have</em> to watch them. (BTW, I think TiVo is a kind of digital recording system that stores shows – sans commercials – on a hard drive. It has an internal computer thingie that can also find the show you want – no matter when it’s on – and record it for you.)
We, too, are stuck in the Dark Ages with a VCR. By the time we get a TiVo, there will be some new machine that everyone has and we will once again be left in the “old fashioned” lane. (Stop me … I am sounding old … Next thing you know, I will be saying "Back in MY day, we didn’t have television. We had to make our own fun … :))</p>

<p>No TiVo here. I only just learned how to use the speed dial on my cell phone! My kids tease me constantly about how bad I am. It took me about a year after we moved to learn how to use the tv/dvd/cable/stereo/ surround sound system. There were four remotes for heaven sakes and I only watch tv about once a month, so I couldn’t remember which one did what! Just when I got it, my husband brought home the mother of all remotes and spent who knows how long “programing it”. Don’t ask how long that took me to learn. All these gizzmo’s are supposed to save us time, and make our lives easier and more convienient? Hmmmm. </p>
